A hybrid dessert combining the taste of Japanese matcha green tea and the traditional Mexican dessert favorite, Matcha churros! It is quite the delicious treat that is sure to be hit! All of the great benefits of Matcha infused into this treat that is loved the world over!
-1 tbsp AOI Matcha
-About 7/8 cup (just below one cup) of flour
-3/4 cup of water
-Pinch of salt
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1 tbsp sugar
-1 tsp powdered sugar
-Olive oil for frying
-In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and AOI Matcha
-Add and mix in the water, salt, olive oil and sugar. Mix until all ingredients are combined completely.
-Place this mixture into a pastry squeeze bag.
-Heat up a pot of olive oil on medium. BE CAREFUL AS COOKING WITH OIL CAN BECOME DANGEROUS VERY QUICKLY. USE CAUTION.
-Squeeze the mixture into the oil and form a long circle. Let it cook evenly on both sides.
-Let it drain onto a plate with a paper towel to absorb any excess oil. Sprinkle on the powdered sugar!
-Serve and enjoy! A good companion piece is a Matcha Latte!
